Fashion Steps Out 2013!

Finally, a post about the night! :p Okay here's a video report I made for Fashion Steps Out (I love making videos because it feels like I'm saving what I experienced so you can feel & enjoy it the same way like I did :p) ..video was made with my lovely Pentax Q10! It's so awesome to have a tiny camera, tinier than my phone and its ability to record such a fine quality video! :D

Let me tell you about this huge event they held along the Orchard road. Why Fashion Steps Out? Because instead of doing the fashion show indoor, they now making it on the road, and it's free for everyone! The event actually has been held for six-weeks, and here I am attending the big blast on the last day of the whole event. They closed the Orchard road traffic two hours before the show, and they held a fashion show right in the middle of the road with all the invited guests & crowds along the both side of the pavements (well that is insane, imagining that happen in our beloved city on SATURDAY NIGHT, we will be facing hundred kilometres of crazy traffic jam afterwards.) 15 malls along the Orchard road are participating, including ION Orchard, which used as the champagne sundowner & also the starting line of the runway.

500 DIY foldable chairs are designed by Mazlan Ahman (SKOPE) based on 10 broad style themes: Camouflage, Splatter, Abstracts, Organix Abstract (selected by samsung as Galaxy S4 with LTE phone cover), Random Pop Art, Street Layering, Triangle, Line Art, Asiatic style with graphic nature elements and florals.

The show started! FYI, the runway was 658 meters and total of 173 models had to walk through it (wearing killer heels) and looking all fierce and pretty. That is just impossible thing to do! My shopping madness along Orchard road always ends up killing my feet even though I'm wearing flat shoes... these models are definitely stronger than me. :)) Total participating international and local brands who joined the runway are Fausto Puglisi, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, Coach, J.Press, Robinsons, Marks & Spencers, Adolfo Dominguez, Maria Grachvogel, Blugirl, also Amaya Arzuaga, Joe Chia, and Ashley Isham.

Mall Tour // ION Orchard

Victoria's Secret store has opened at ION Orchard. Choosing a birthday gift for a friend has become easier, thanks to their lovely perfume & body lotion parcels :p

Envie de Pois // Red Valentino @ ION Orchard

Envie de Pois, a multi-brand boutique located at the third floor of ION Orchard, bringing rare designer pieces & luxury brands around the world, such as Fausto Puglisi, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, Oscar De La Renta, and many others. Entering this cozy boutique, it feels like we were in our own walk-in closet (or at least, wish to have a closet with a lot of pretty clothes like this). We took a peek of the beautiful collection that will be shown tonight, at Fashion Steps Out. :)

Visiting Larry Jewelry at ION, there was a simple quiz about which diamonds have better quality. Whichever agency company first came up with the phrase "Diamonds are woman's best friend' must be genius.
